Schai Schairer

Speaking to the Younger Me is a personal and reflective talk rooted in Schai's lived experience as a Black, Haitian, interracial, international adoptee who is also gay and masculine-presenting. Her story sits at multiple intersections, and because of that, it doesn't fit neatly into one box and never has. In this talk, she revisits the moments that shaped how she saw herself, her mental health, her identity, and the systems she was trying to navigate, often without the language or support she actually needed. Now standing in who she is, Schai doesn't tell her story for sympathy or exposure, but to offer perspective.
